Seven vehicles buried by landslide in Subang Jaya
KUALA LUMPUR: Seven vehicles were buried under a landslide at Persiaran Putra Bahagia, 500 metres from the Putra Heights Police Station, Subang Jaya, Thursday.
Nevertheless, the eight people in the vehicles, five cars, a van and a motorcycle, were reported safe.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, assistant director (Operations) Mohd Sani Harul said, the route experienced mud flood from the landslide in Bukit Cermin, where a project to build semi-detached houses was taking place.
“The earth collapsed, then entered a catchment pond nearby causing the pond to break.
The vehicles which were buried in earth were carried away by the mud flood but the occupants managed to save themselves.
Meanwhile, Subang Jaya police chief ACP Yahaya Ramli said, police received information on the incident at 6.05pm.– BERNAMA
