Costly lesson to learn
SIBU: A man learnt a painful lesson after he visited a prostitute on Saturday afternoon; he paid RM30 to the woman in her early 20s for her service but ended up losing RM500.
The man in his 50s claimed that he found the money missing from his wallet when he
came out from the bathroom of a hotel after having fun with the woman, who was no longer in the room.
The victim, who works as a security guard, said the money was his salary, and is now wondering how to go through the rest of the month without any cash.
He lodged a police report yesterday morning.
The man said he met the woman when he was taking his lunch at a coffee shop in Cross Road on Saturday.
He said he and the woman went to a hotel nearby after lunch.
He said he had learnt his lesson and would never dare to sleep with a stranger again.
In an unrelated case, an 83-year-old man dropped dead at the Central Market while buying a chicken.
The incident at 7.30am shocked the vendor when the man, identified only as Moshidi, fell to the floor.
Both the hospital and Civil Defence personnel were informed, but when they arrived, Moshidi was already dead.
The police sent his body to the hospital mortuary.
