KTS holds CNY gathering for staff

KUCHING: KTS Group of Companies yesterday held a Chinese New Year gathering for about 460 employees at the Imperial Hall, Crown Square here.

During the gathering, 23 employees were presented with long service awards for their contribution and service to the company.

The recipients included Teresa Lau, who has served with KTS for 43 years.

She is currently KTS Resources Sdn Bhd senior manager in the Finance and Admin Department.

“I’m very proud and happy to be named the longest serving employee. The one thing about KTS is that it takes care of the welfare of its employees,” said Lau.

She advised her colleagues to be loyal to the company, responsible and hard working because it pays off at the end of the day.

Lo Siew Hung also received the award for her 40 years of service, while both Lau Hie Kiong and Cheng Hua Kieh received awards for serving the company for 39 years.

The four recipients received their awards from group managing director Dato Henry Lau.

Deputy managing director Stephen Lau presented the remaining 19 long service awards to the employees who served between 19 and 33 years.

They are Ganda Tuban, Maureen Kho, Lennon Jiming, Gajut Bokok, Janggu Endin, Yap Min Su, Chiong Hie Ling, Sia Nyiik Huat, Ngu Leong Chie, Tsai Chiu Fah, Yii Che Hie, Ling Chat Tong, Ling Nai Huong, Veronica Lee, Bernadette Ngu, Wong Kee Choon, Teresa Kong, Pauline Lau and Tan Pui Ha.

Attendees were also briefed by representatives from various divisions – timber; agriculture; general and industrial products; media; property development and construction; food and hospitality services; as well as holdings and management services – under the KTS Group on developments and future plans.
