KUALA LUMPUR: A woman is living in fear of her husband who accuses her of using an amulet to make his mistress fall sick.MCA public complaints bureau chief, Datuk Michael Chong, said the 43-year-old woman, who is a trader, had lodged a police report.

He said the incident happened after her 41-year-old husband, also a trader, went to see two mediums and was informed that his mistress was sick because of his wife’s doing.

“Her husband became angry and threatened to harm her (wife) if she refused to dispose of the amulet, which the mediums said she had hid somewhere,” he told a news conference here yesterday.

He said the husband did not believe his wife when she denied the accusation.

Chong said he had also contacted the woman’s husband who insisted that his wife confessed to it or be harmed by him.

He advised the public not to fall prey to ‘bogus’ mediums, adding that the bureau had received eight complaints, involving losses of RM433,000.

There were also cases were the complainants were forced to have sex with the mediums, he added. — Bernama
