KUCHING: In celebration of its sixteenth anniversary this year alongside Tun Jugah Centre ‘Sparkling Christmas’ carnival, local jewellery retailer Minex Jewellery is holding two lucky draws for customers who made purchases during its annual 10-day ’60 Per Cent Sale’ exhibition, starting from yesterday until December 6, 2009.

“In conjunction with Tun Jugah’s carnival, we are offering attractive prizes and lucky draws. In fact, we have two lucky draws, one with Tun Jugah and another is our own. So, when customers buy during this period, they are entitled for both lucky draws using one purchase only,” said its managing director Benjamin Wung.

For Tun Jugah Centre, lucky customers stand a chance to take home jewellery worth RM1,500 and Ogawa’s Smart Mate Massage Chair as well as other prizes including various discount vouchers from other outlets here in Wisma Tun Jugah worth up to RM25,000.

“For Minex’s lucky draw, the prize will be jewellery worth up to RM15,000. All they need to do is to purchase items worth at least RM200 in a single receipt,” added Wung.

On its annual ’60 Per Cent Sale’, Wung said the event, which entered its sixth edition this year, has always been an anticipated by its customers around this time of the year.

“The annual sale offers customers best price-deals that is 60 per cent discount on our high-quality jewellery items that is on par with other foreign, branded pieces. It is also to appreciate the continuous support from our customers all this time. As we always see very fast clearance of our stocks during these ten days every year, so for this time around we hope to achieve the same results.

“The sale will run until December 6 for the exhibition outside our store here at level one in Wisma Tun Jugah. After that date, however, the sale will still be running until January 3 next year inside our store. The sale is for all Minex’s diamonds and gemstone items, excluding those with nett prices,” he said.

On Minex’s offerings, Wung gave his assurance on the quality of each item and the range of choices to cater for its clients’ tastes.

“All the customers who buy from us will always be sure that they will always get the best deal. They wouldn’t get fakes or anything that gets treated because each one of our pieces comes with a certificate, regardless whether the piece is RM100 or RM100,000. That way, we build a lot of trust with our customers.

“Apart from our factory in Singapore, we get our supply from our very own factory here, set up in November last year. The reason why we started our factory here is because we can bring down the prices a lot lower but with the same quality.

“Most of our goods range between RM1,000 and RM10,000, as these items are fast moving and most people are looking for prices around this range. But we do have jewellery for everybody, ranging from RM199 to RM297,000,” he explained.
