Robust demand for Isuzu’s D-Max 4WD

KUCHING: Sales of Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s (Isuzu Malaysia) D-Max single-cabin pick-up trucks grew by 118 per cent in the past three months led by strong demand following the government’s recent move to re-classify the vehicle for private registration. The ruling enabled business people including plantation and farming operators, as well as small-and-medium entrepreneurs such as contractors, installers and retailers to enjoy the benefits of a single-cabin pick-up truck without needing to hire drivers who hold goods-delivery-licences.

According to its chief executive officer Takashi Hata, the growth spurt for D-Max comes from its very strong product features that is very ideal as a business partner.

“No other pick-up truck in the market has the performance, versatility, durability and fuel-efficiency like the D-Max. This potent combination of features are exactly what business and trade people look for in a company vehicle,” he said.

Offering the only three-litre (3L), four-by-four (4WD) single-cabin pick-up trucks in the market, Isuzu Malaysia has managed to leverage on this strength by adding enhanced features such as spacious loading capacity and improved engine performance.

Among its strengths is the highly robust 3L ‘Super Commonrail’ engine that produces class-leading 136 picoseconds of power and 280 nanometre of torque that comes at a low 1,200rpm (revolution-per-minute). Gradients are handled effortlessly and a

simple press of the ‘touch-on-the-fly’ button on the dashboard instantly transforms the vehicle into a competent 4WD powertruck that is capable to traverse in any challenging conditions.

Additionally, D-Max’s load-height is deliberately set low to enable easier loading-and-unloading and increased productivity, while its low side-panels allow better access for loads.

Complementing its exterior designs, the interior cabin is just as versatile and practical. The bench seat is easily adjustable and features three sets of seatbelts for better safety.

For the driver, the driving position is ideal for long journeys with the clear and fatigue-free instrumentations.

The Isuzu D-Max 4WD, which comes exclusively in Alpine White, is available at all Isuzu Malaysia’s authorised showrooms Nationwide.

Prices start at RM69,808.40 on the road without insurance (private registration) complete with a three-year or 100,000km warranty. For more information, log on to www.isuzu.net.my.
