Khir won’t give me the keys to mansion: Assemblyman

SHAH ALAM: After taking up the challenge by former Selangor menteri besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo to sell his controversial mansion on Tuesday, Sekinchan state assemblyman, Ng Suee Lim yesterday tried to play his new role as the real estate agent.

When Khir arrived to attend the state assembly session yesterday, Ng was seen talking to the former menteri besar outside the Dewan.

When asked what was the conversation between him and Khir about, he said he had asked the former menteri besar to give him a set of keys to enable him to take potential buyers to see the mansion, but to no avail.

“When I asked for the keys, he told me to give him a 10 per cent deposit. I told him the buyer had yet to see the mansion, how am I supposed to give him the deposit? He said to see him in court. I have no problem with that, a fight is a fight, but he should at least give me the keys or else, how can I act as his real estate agent,” he told reporters.

On Monday, Ng claimed that Khir owned a mansion and two lots of land estimated at RM24 million in Section 7, here, and questioned Khir’s ability to buy such an expensive property during his tenure as the Selangor Menteri Besar.

On Tuesday, Khir, who is Sungai Panjang assemblymen, denied the allegation, and said that the property was bought at a cost of RM3.5 million three years ago via a loan with a 30-year repayment period from HSBC Bank.

He also dared Ng to be his real estate agent and sell the property at the price of RM24 million.

Khir also offered Ng a commission of 50 per cent or RM12 million if the latter managed to sell the property at the said price. — Bernama
