KUCHING: Sakok FC and SMK Petra Jaya emerged champions in their respective categories of the Futsal Carnival on Sunday.

Sakok FC, which topped the boys category for 18-year-olds, received RM1,000, a RM200 voucher, a trophy and medals while SMK Petra Jaya received RM500, a RM200 voucher, a trophy and medals for winning the boys category for 15-year-olds.

The second and third places in the category for 18-year-olds went to Jucel Experience and MMLZ FC. Jucel Experience received RM500, a RM200 voucher, a trophy and medals while MMLZ FC received RM300, a RM100 voucher, a trophy and medals.

The second and third places in the category for 15-year-olds went to SMK Tabuan Jaya and Kolej DPAH Abdillah. SMK Tabuan received RM300, a RM100 voucher, a trophy and medals while Kolej DPAH Abdillah received RM200, a RM50 voucher, a trophy and medals.

The two-day event was co-organised by Education Department Kuching Division, Fah Fatt Telecommunication and Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd.

Various schools from Kuching and Samarahan Divisions took part with 50 teams in the category for 18-year-olds and 49 teams in the category for 15-year-olds.
