MATU: The crack in Pakatan Rakyat (PR) alliance is getting bigger and clearer each day, which clearly shows that PR is neither a responsible nor a capable government, says Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan.

He said this at the presentation of compensation cheque and temporary occupation licence (TOL) to landowners here and Daro held at Kampung Serkaan Besar community hall yesterday.
Tengah said the decision of the DAP in Kedah to pull out of the state government, the protest in Penang against the administration of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng as well as the increasing demonstration against the state government in Selangor were among the many signs of the crack.
“All these and many others clearly show the widening cracks and defects within the Pakatan Rakyat alliance, which reflect their incapability to lead the people.
“The people of Sarawak must not fall into their (PR) traps of sweet and empty words and promises,” he said.
Tengah also highlighted the fact that Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leadership did not even believe in the capability of Sarawakians when it (PKR) appointed a non-Sarawakian to helm the state PKR.
Instead, Tengah said: “It is important for Sarawakians to protect the political stability in Sarawak by rallying behind the BN government for greater development and better standard of living.
“Sarawak has achieved much in education, basic infrastructure, better quality of living, more income, and many others since 45 years ago. We stand to gain more in future from the fruits of our unity, stability and harmony.
“We also stand to enjoy more in the second wave of politics of development of the Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, especially with the creation of Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).
“SCORE presents us with development and economic opportunities which we never thought of possible in the past. It is now taking shape in front of our eyes,” said Tengah.
At the function, he presented compensation money amounting to RM4,918,920 to 526 landowners whose land were acquired for the building of Matu New Township and many others.
Tengah also presented 35 lots (TOL licence) to beneficiaries of the Daro Resettlement Scheme in Daro.
A political secretary to the chief minister who is also Jemoreng assemblyman Abu Seman Jahwie, DUN Speaker and Semop assemblyman Dato Sri Asfia Awang Nasar, Nangka assemblyman Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah, Temenggong Tioh Ali Mokhtar, and acting Matu District Officer Syed Kadir Abdul Wahab were among those present at the function.
Later, Tengah, accompanied by Asfia, Abu Seman and Bemee proceeded to Mukah where he (Tengah) also presented compensation money and TOLs to landowners whose land were taken by the government for the building of several projects there.
Also present were Mukah Resident Saudi Narani and Walikota of Mukah Dalat District Council Cr Ali Suhaili.
Compensation money totalling RM924,063 were distributed among 121 landowners.
Tengah also presented 198 TOLs to the beneficiaries of five village extension schemes namely Kampung Tabo, Mukah extension scheme, Kampung Sungai Alo, Mukah extension scheme, Kampung Petanak, Mukah extension scheme, Kampung Penat, Oya extension scheme, and Kampung Baru Oya extension scheme.
