KUALA LUMPUR: The public should lodge reports against the corrupt especially cases involving civil servants, said Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan.
“The public must report such matters but do not make false reports to put someone in trouble,” he told reporters after closing an education programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Melawati 2 here yesterday.
The programme involved collaboration between the school and Sekolah Kebangsaan Cherok Paloh, Kuantan, Pahang to help each other’s pupils achieve excellent results in the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination.
Mohd Sidek said the government would not compromise on the issue of corruption and any civil servant caught would face the full brunt of the law.
He added that the fight against corruption should be instilled from the primary school level whereby pupils are taught to embrace the good and shun the bad.
