SIBU: Eleven riders from around here have successfully made their way into the Daiichi One Make Race Category of the Sarawak Cub Prix Sibu Series which will be held on May 2 and 3.

According to a spokesman from the organising committee, the category is one of three listed under Sarawak Cub Prix Sibu Series.

The other two are Category A (for professional riders who have gotten their Racing License from Sarawak Automotive Racing Sport Association (Sarsa) and Category B (for riders who have just gotten their Racing License from Sarsa).

The Daiichi One Make Race Category is for riders who have not gotten their Racing License from Sarsa.

The 11 riders, who were selected during a two-day selection at Tun Ahmad Zaidi Stadium’s car park, are Samuel Mamat, Mohd Razif Muhamad, Norazam Azzim Junaidi, Masfadilla Onara, Mohamad Zaiyed Bujang, Eric Eddie, Mohamad Affendi Ramli, Mohd Najari Hata, Abdul Azmandy, Azizulhakim Japar and Abg Mohd Yazid Abg Kassim.

The Sarawak Cub Prix Sibu Series is co-hosted by Sarsa, Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) and X4 Generation in conjunction with Visit Sibu Year 2009.

The start and finish will be at Island Road (beside Wisma Sanyan car park).
