Suspected car thief caught with stolen 4WD vehicle
KUCHING: A suspected car thief was arrested by police after he tried to retrieve a stolen 4WD vehicle at an apartment complex in Jalan Wan Alwi on Wednesday.
Acting on information received, a police team went to the apartment complex around 6.30pm where they spotted the suspect, a 41-year-old man from Marudi, getting into a suspected stolen Toyota Prado at the car park of the complex.
The arresting team immediately detained the man on the spot without incident and brought him and the vehicle back to the police station for questioning.
Checks later revealed that the 4WD vehicle, reported stolen on Tuesday, had been fitted with false licence plates.
The suspect was sent to police lockup pending further investigation.
In another incident, a 26-year-old man from Jalan Laruh Tengah was arrested for motorcycle theft on Wednesday following a tip-off from the public.
Acting on information received, a police team spotted the suspect riding a suspected stolen motorcycle around 2.30pm and trailed him to a house at Jalan Laruh Tengah where they detained him without incident.
A check of the motorcycle, a Yamaha Ego, revealed that it too bore false licence plates and had been reported stolen on Sept 16.
The suspect was detained for further investigation.

No matter how much effort our authorities put on to bring down those cases, they will never success as long as there is market for it and no finalty to those caught beside too much bailled cases still pending in court.
Please review this;
>for any case with any person caught, ask for public comment from the place of that person’s origin/area. If there is more views want that particular person to be put in jail, go straight. This shows that the person is really disturbing public life.
>bailled out case, is a weak strategy to get money, which will put public in more horror and further insecure.
