KUCHING: A hotel security guard was killed in an accident Friday after his motorcycle collided head-on with a school bus in Muara Tuang.

Donny Wong, 29, died on the spot from head injuries in the noon collision.

The father of two had gone to Kota Sentosa to withdraw money from an ATM machine.

He met with the accident on the way home in Muara Tuang.

The victim’s body was sent to Sarawak General Hospital where it was met by family members who had been notified of the incident.

Wong leaves behind a wife, six-year-old son and 18-month-old daughter.

In an unrelated incident, the driver of a Proton Savvy involved in a head-on collision with a 4WD vehicle at Sungai Moyan bridge last Sunday succumbed to injuries on Friday night.

Joseph Siew Chee Seng, 34, died in the intensive care unit around 8pm, a week after the accident which saw 12 persons in the two vehicles treated in hospital for injuries.

Siew was heading back to Sejingkat from Serikin together with four co-workers when his Proton Savvy collided with a Ford Ranger ferrying a family of seven.

Pinned to his seat, Siew was extricated by firemen from the Bau Fire and Rescue Department before being rushed to hospital.
