Musa tells Sabah people to trust BN

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman hopes that the people of Sabah will continue to support and trust the Barisan Nasional (BN) government and not be swayed away by the opposition parties.

He said Sabah is experiencing good growth and receiving tourist arrivals in encouraging number. The government would want the situation to continue, he said.

“We want to convince tourists and investors that Sabah is a peaceful and safe state and enjoying political stability.

“Let’s not be complacent and be swayed away by the provocation from the opposition parties. We don’t want political uncertainties to undermine the efforts to develop the state,” he said at the breaking of fast organised by three Malay chambers of commerce here yesterday.

The three are the Sabah chapter of Malay Businessmen and Industrialists Association of Malaysia, Sabah Bumiputera Chamber of Commerce and the Sabah chapter of the Malaysian Malay Chamber of Commerce.

On another matter, Musa urged the Malay chambers of commerce to strike a partnership with non-Bumiputera businessmen to ensure greater success.
