SARIKEI: Den and Sons emerged champions in the third Sarikei FA Futsal Super Series 2008 here from July 11 to 13.

They edged AZ United 3-2 on penalties after a stalemate at the end of the 20-minute normal time to register their second win in the series.

The winners and runners-up received RM1500 and RM800 respectively.

Defending champions Hornet United beat 2-0 Mudarris for third place and received RM500.

The three-day competition attracted 35 teams, including two from Kuching and one from Daro, Mukah.

Sarikei FA vice president Nuas Tuwin gave away the prizes. Also present was Sarikei FA secretary and organising chairman Abang Zaini Abang Ismail.
