SIBU: Entries are now open for the Sibu Amateur and Junior Tennis Championship 2008 to be held from July 11 to 20 at Bukit Lima Sports Complex here.

The closing date is July 9.

The competition, organised by Sibu Division Lawn Tennis Association, is divided into Junior Age Group Under 12 (single knockout), Junior Age Group U-15 (single knockout), Novice Group (double knockout) and Open Group (single knockout).

There will be no entry fees for the Junior Age Group but RM15 per singles entry will be charged for Novice and Open. Divisional players and former champions may only participate in the Open Group.

Matches will be based on three tie-break sets and the single knockout format. If there are insufficient entries, the double knockout format will be used.
