KUCHING: A Statewide national badminton umpire (Level One and Two) theory exam will be held here on July 26, starting at 2pm.

Registrations (RM30 per person, including exam fees and IBF laws) can be made at all Sarawak Badminton Association (BA) affiliates and divisional associations.

The closing date is June 28 before 12 noon.

Meanwhile, a total of 157 players from Kuching, Samarahan, Sarikei, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri and Baram will take part in the State Junior Closed 2008 in Sarikei from June 27 to 29.

The tournament is jointly organised by Sarawak BA and Sarikei Divisional Badminton Association.
